Some Staples Easy Buttons I modified. There's potential with this idea so I hope someone does something funny with it. Credit to Al Cohen for his method on this.

Parts List:
Staples Easy Button
Radio Shack Recording Module (9v)#276-1323
RS momentary contact switch (N/O)#275-1571
RS mini headphone jack (1/8)#274-248
22ga wire

Basic electronics skill, dremel tool, and solding iron are needed.
The RS recording module is added to the easy button. There is space for it inside. You disconnect the existing board but use it's button by soldering the new module to it.
You must cut the battery compartment and file a portion of the speaker to get the 9V battery to fit. The headphone jack is optional and allows you to feed audio directly to the module via mp3 player. The momentary switch takes the place of the one on the recording module. You can place it on the bottom of the easy button but I placed it inside and drilled a hole in the bottom of the easy button to access it with a paper clip. This prevents accidental recording.
