I have most of Zizek's work, and agree with him on most things. Those of you calling the interviewer an idiot should pay much closer attention, he is getting to the grain, with a few mistakes, of a lot of Zizek's points and more importantly expressing it in a way that is accessible for most viewers. Not only that, he quite intelligently picks up on Zizek's INTENDED humour with which he writes.

Yes, its not much progress if the material from Zizek is mediated through the comedic, talkshow-host-interview. The action of him aiming at the stereotypical news network isnt the best move, at least its on youtube though.

I neaver heard zizek laugh as honestly (or should we say uncontroled?) as he did at the end of this clip. Right before he says "thank you very much".

I think there was very little time and this affected the interview a lot, the interrrupting is a bit annoying. Its a bit of a jump to call the guy an idiot, in any case, if he simply started lapping up what Zizek was saying that would come off too weak and would make poor viewing for anyone who isn't an inveterate Zizek acolyte. I like Zizek because he has interesting and original insights, not because of his intelligence or knowledge.
