This is my update from december 13th, i uploaded it and don't know why it didn't show up but here it is again! Thank you to all that watch me, chat with me and comment, just knowing im not alone is like you being right here with me
This breaks my heart - mostly because I lived it (and still live it) too. I'm not 100% sure of the backstory (I'll go back and look), but I want you to know that I was sick for a very long time after surgery (almost1.5 years) and in CONSTANT pain...but it DOES get better. As you go, the medical treatment will get more precise, and you'll learn how to cope better. I hope that you can find a way to find a nice holiday...and keep your chin up. You're still a ray of sunshine! :)
I have learned to do things in smaller increments. For ex, mopping the floor takes me 3 days but hey I get it done. If I attempted to do it in 1 day, I would be down for a week.
When I prepare meals, it takes all day to prepare the meal. I have to make it one dish at a time & sit down between each dish. I set the dinner table mid day & I try to make sure that I have taken a nap so that I am well rested & can enjoy some time w/ the family.
As a fellow cper, I want to suggest that you set alarms for your meds even during the night. By missing the meds, u are letting your pain get out of total control & then it is taking longer for u to get the pain pain back under control.
I am sorry you are struggling & I understand the pain of not being who we once were. The key is you need to let what was, go & concentrate on life as it is today.
