    you want polyurethane. 2-4 coats. a little shine = semi gloss. try fabulon brand, their oil-based poly is very good. or go to your local hardwood supply store (not home depot) and ask what they recommend if you're set on a water based product.

  • i just finished installing my new floors and i really need something to put on top to protect it from scratches and maybe add a little shine. i want something that will last a long time and preferably water based. hit reply, thanks
