and without the shuttle...the ISS was not possible.
well...in fact...the shuttle that open the doors to all new kind of space program...
without the ISS...where's the funny? see it? thanks to the shuttle...
why? retire? well... it's ok...but one great and last mission with no end will be a better end to one of this shuttles...
a lot of robots and sensors...imagine the size of the tool...works to the SCIENCE.

well...2 robots with this size...imagine how many equipaments they can carry....and a lot more....
one shuttle can be helpfull in mars...just can't return...or in a emergency....works fine...lol...
i know....they are old...but...some robots... what's the deal? science? or politics? see it?!
in the end...is always the MONEY...lol.

@CmtePiu You cant run a program with money you dont have. And its better toi end it than neglect it. Anyways, this opens up a new age in space development, allowing for private companies and commercial space travel.

@psalm49 luckily the new craft that should be in use in about ten years is going to be for deep space, and is also taking us back to the moon in 15 ish years and mars in 20-25ish,

How much of a setback will it be for the US and manned space exploration? No longer being the model and taking the backseat really leaves me scratching my head. Is rocket propelled spacecraft now obsolete? Its not typical for the US to be without an ace up its sleeve.
