An improvised short film/special fx test shoot. A car-hit effect created using Final Cut Express 4.
Shot on a Canon XA H1 and a Canon HG10 on Mini-Dv Steadicam. Colour Graded in Magic Bullet.

  • @Alexdude333

It's pretty obvious what's going to happen but for some reason I think that makes it funny. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Haha, original Idea man, editing was good too!

  • @oss237 So I'll be waiting =D

  • @BenHughesStudios Even though they have the same specs, the things like manual control, better color depth, etc. on the xha1 make it that much better. In some cases, the hv30 can look just as good as you said, but it depends who's operating it- whether or not they know how to use it to it's fullest extent.

  • Really great job! Audio was fantastic!

  • hv30 footage looks just as good as the xha1 in my opinion. they both have the same data rates and resolution.
