I followed this train all the way from Cohoes! I made it to the crossing about 5 minutes before it showed up, and being as there's two crossings before this that are within a few thousand feet, I had good camera cues! However, this is an edited vid, since the train took so long, which unfortunately degrades the quality a bit. Anyway, normally trains fly by on this track, but they're doing track work in the rail yard as part of the ongoing work on the Pan Am Southern deal. The two head locomotives are ones I don't believe I've seen before. The third one is CP Rail, the rail company that owns the track.
Anyway, I got way better closeups of the signals this time, which I was pretty happy about. This was also taken with my recently bought Canon SD1100 IS camera, and it worked fairly well!
I guess there's nothing else to say except enjoy the vid!
P.S., it was nice to see people wait for the gates to go up this time before crossing.
Nice!
