Thanks for the upload. I'm a Seattle born-and-raised. The joke about a certain stretch of 395 (Oregon-Nevada I believe) is that "there is literally nothing along a certain stretch, so take a cell phone for sure." I'm 37, and one thing that I may try to do before I die 10 years from now, is to "traverse most of US 395."
What would top off a trip like that would be to stop in Walker at the Walker burger for one of their cheeseburgers then drive 30 miles down to Bridgeport and stop there at the Jollycone for a cheeseburger then maybe walk next door to the Burger Barn and get .......Well a......Cheeseburger! Then stop somewhere farther down 395 like in Lee Vining and see if you can find yet another great High Sierra cheeseburger....you know then maybe stop somewhere up there along the road for lunch !
I took the 395 all the way up to Mammoth Lakes the first time, then up to the June Lake Loop the second time from San Diego. 8 hour drive. Very scenic. The panoramic view of California's best.
I live in Walker but have been overseas for a few years working. This video sure brings back great memories. can't wait to get back home.

Every lake in CA is cold as ice. It's suck to swim in.
