Otis Redding, whose inspiration was Little Richard, indicated that he contributed significantly to the development of soul music
Bo Diddley stated that Little Richard was a one-of-a-kind show business genius
He influenced so many people in the business
Paul McCartney said that he idolized Little Richard when he was in school and always wanted to sing like him
In his high school year book, Bob Dylan declared that his ambition was to join Little Richard
Mick Jagger, Bob Seger, John Fogerty, David Bowie and Rod Stewart are among the other artists who have stated that Little Richard was a primary rock 'n' roll influence
In 1979, as he began to develop his solo career, Michael Jackson was quoted as saying that Little Richard was a huge influence on him
