Lets Play Dragonball Z: The Legacy Of Goku OR "Why Dost I Torture Mineself"

Since I didn't get any suggestions for my next LP, I decided to choose at random what my next project will be. Oh jesus christ did I get the short straw...

I'm sure a fat load of you know about Dragonball. Its only the single most well known anime in America and England. We got a lot of repeats of it most of the time.

So it was only sensible that it would get video game adaptations. They range from the actually heavily enjoyable, like Hyper Dimension and the Budokai games, to the utter shit, like Ultimate Battle 22, Taikestu and of course, THIS.

This is Dragonball Z Legacy Of Goku for the Game Boy Advance. Its the first in the LOG series consisting of this, LOG2 and Buu's Fury. But while LOG2 adn Buu's Fury are relatively okay games, this game is to put it simply, HORRIBLE.

And now I've chosen to torture myself by playing this abomination.

Whats there to say about the plot, other than it covers the Saiyan and Frieza sagas, all up to that fateful moment in the series where Goku dyes his hair blonde and dukes it out with TG Tyrant Morph- I mean Frieza.

You would think it would be a fun adventure game...well, how about inane sidequests, horrendous difficulty curve and the mutilation of plot points to add to the already butchered gameplay? They tried to copy the Legend of Zelda except with Dragonball character, only they screwed it up. I can see why the scrapped and rebuilt the engine from the ground up for LOG2 and Buu's Fury, since they're actually good games, but this is inexcusable. The plot is ripped to bits to teh point where even a harcore fan of Dragonball will have some troubl ediscerning the plot

Anyway, I'll just shut up and get to putting myself through hell for you ungrateful inglorious bastards. Enjoy my pain, dickheads.
