Iran is a country of dualities. What one sees on the outside is rarely the full story. An excellent example is this restaurant in Esfahan. From the outside, a dark city street leads to a plain brick building with a plastic neon sign. However, upon entering, one is greated by an ornately carpeted staircase, that leads to an elegant dining room, decorated entirely by cut glass, and with a beautiful greenhouse in the middle.
