This is the memorial DVD from my great-grandfather's funeral service on November 8th, 2006. My great-grandfather truly is the greatest man I've ever known. I miss you papaw!

Mr. Charlie Byrd, age 90 passed away Monday, November 6th, 2006 at the Laurel Creek Health Care Center. He was born March 26th, 1916 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Cam & Callie Lynch Byrd. He was a farmer, former Deputy Sheriff & Constable.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Eunice Byrd, 3 Children: Helen Mays, Melia McClure, & Ronald Byrd.

He is survived by the following children: Charlene Collins of Reed Branch, Willie Byrd & wife Mary of Harrison, Ohio, Rosetta Lunsford & husband Green of Reed Branch, John Byrd of Newport, Kentucky, & Ben Byrd & wife Judy of Newport, Kentucky. Also surviving are 44 Grandchildren 71 Great Grandchildren & 25 Great Great Grandchildren as well as the following sisters: Edna Ball of Sextons Creek Community, Gracie Byrd of Ohio, & Hazel Hensley of Ohio.

Funeral Services for Mr. Charlie Byrd will be Thursday, November 9th, 2006 at 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Morris Thompson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Byrd Family Cemetery in the Reed Branch Community.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 8th, 2006 after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
