Project: Discovery Channel Idents

Adelphoi composers were given the task of producing music and sound design to accompany seven conceptual brand films for Discovery Real Time's campaign 'You've Just Watched One Second of Discovery, Discover More'. All of the idents were filmed at speeds between 1000 and 2000 frames per second to capture and express the everyday in ways not seen before.
Our challenge was to replicate and enhance the slow motion images. We achieved by recording at our studios and processing the results through various morphing, sampling and synthesis software to shape each of the individual sounds. Music plays a pivotal role within the idents by creating an emotional link with the theme and the viewer.
