because flea made the Fleabass, because he wanted to have a bass which anyone could buy (the modlus was £1500 and the Fleabass is like £200) and i guess flea's contract with Modulus ended.

My bet is that this is a Modulus bass (the Flea bass) to be precise. Unfortunately the Flea bass is now discontinued due some lawyers, managers and general foobar. The Modulus itself is still in business making those kick ass hard-necked and with power sustain basses.

Yeah. When I first heard this song I was convinced that Both slides were done on the bass. Guess i was wrong.
