thank you this is large help for me, wish there were more videos like this because nobody wants t teach me how to drive because i dont look 16, It sucks.
this video was so helpful!!! whenever I'm in the driver's seat I'm always calm until there's a turn coming up ahead and than I totally start freaking out. so when it's my turn to take a left or right turn I suck big time. I don't know how to explain it. but I just get really scared when it comes to turning. but thanks to this video I think I actually get it now. no one really taught me the proper way to turn. so kuddos to whoever made this video. much appreciated!
@tara2berry2 lol. As long as you take your time turning and less about thinking about turning you'll do fine. I find it when i think about parking my car I always mess up, but if i just park the damn car I do fine. I've been driving for about 5 months now.
@raymanlegy Same. But apparently my driving instructor says I'll fail unless I learn it. But I learned the way you're saying so I'm frustrated, our teacher never explained it, he thought it'd be second nature. My turns are flawless but I don't use the "proper technique." Telling me to turn hand over hand is like telling me to speak spanish when I only know english and french.
@JDubs878 until then people should go by the book. after that be safe follow the rules and do what the heck ya want lol it all a learning process. oh and excuse me for the dam novel i wrote.
@JDubs878 in other words how ever your instructor or who ever it is teaches you the things you need to pass the test follow that. the over hand method was what i learned. at first i thought the same way you thought why the fuck i gotta do all of that lol. after i learned the method it wasn't as stupid or as hard as it seemed. i still slip into the let the wheel go hear and there :) it comes more natural to people. after you have your license then you can develop your driving style more
@JDubs878 think about it if your making a turn and you just let the wheel spin back suppose your not paying attention and a situation happens unsurprisingly now you panic and your first thought is what? because your use to just letting the steering wheel turn back on it's own. i don't know about you but that method doesn't work for me at all. yes it is a common practice in general but on a test i would not tell a person to do that you half to go through the motions.
OH YEAH!! FINALLY!! Now I can turn left. Before I could just turn right. Thank you for this very usefull lesson!!
