Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Thursday the United States respects the sacrifices made by Pakistan in the war against terror. Clinton testified before the House Foreign Affairs Committee. But a documentary on BBC Two shows a young man held by the Afghan Intelligence Service in a prison cell on the outskirts of Kabul, who alleges he was recruited earlier this year by Pakistan's powerful military intelligence agency, the ISI. The Documentary also shows interviews of two Taliban Commanders who state that they receive training and weapons from Pakistan's ISI. *INT* Javed Jabbar is a writer, a film maker and the former Information of Pakistan. He rejects the reports of western media about ties among Pakistan and Afghan Taliban. Jabbar says that Pakistan does not want an instable Afghanistan because instability in the neighboring country has always badly affected Pakistan. *INT* Brian Katulis is a security analyst with the Center for American Progress. He says that stable borders are in the interest of Pakistan and it has acted in the interest of its own people and will continue to do so but the challenge is to synchronize what US wants in terms of tactics and what Pakistan is doing.
