  • I don't no about Futailong stove, but Kovea company in South Korea made,s this stove to Brunton company==>> Lander Stove.

I use this stove above 3 years ago. For me the best outdoor stove is Booster +1. Also Kovea made's a lot of stoves to snow peak Company in Japan.

  • Hi NJ Purling my opinion you can use propane gas first to heat the stove, but alcohol good idea. fuel bottle and pump the Booster+1 isn't like MSR

  • Type of fuel used Gasoline

  • These stoves make you think "that looks like a MSR/Primus/Optimus" or whatever & the resemblance gets your attention.

They are very cheap & maybe the quality control just isn't good enough to be a expedition stove. To be an expedition stove it would also have to be a true multi-fuel stove & they aren't.

I have a similar stove from Futailong & I swear yours is from the same factory.

I would not advise you to use anything but white gasoline, (Coleman Fuel/Aspen 4T) or LPG canisters.

  • I'd prime with alcohol myself & maybe keep the stove cleaner.

I have bought one of these stoves so I will try both means of pre-heating when the stove arrives.

What is the standard thread for fuel bottles, 26mm?

Read suggestion that the pump does not like MSR bottles. I don't know if that means the thread is different or MSR make a different shape neck to their bottles.

I have also bought an adapter for the fuel line to fit the outdoor gas ring canisters. You can buy them dirt cheap locally.

  • @starshock01 MSR stoves are made in Korea too, so maybe Kovea make it for them.

  • Isn't this just a rip off of msr stoves?
