Alright! So nows my time to apologize, and hope for forgiveness..? I sure hope so. Well its simple. I just didnt feel like writing, and had nothing going for this story. I know I should have posted a video or something, but I am now, so thats what counts, right:)
And now since I posted a free chapter.. can I ask for comments on this one.. Im actually almost proud of it. Haha
"You have it?" I clapped my hands together looking at Joe. I probably sounded like a drug dealers client but I didnt care. I needed to play. Its been years.
Joe shook his head at me, then sighed and started walking toward the closet. Man am I excited. This was probably the highlight of my week. If I wasnt so excited I would probably stop to reflect on the patheticness of that last statement.
He soon emerged from his closet with a mass of cords and the golden prize. Nintendo 64. Kevin had gotten a call earlier and had to leave, leaving Joe and I in our lonesome and this is what we came up with.
"Oh my gosh Joe! Look how amazing! Bask in their glory, Joseph. So simple. So elegant. I just want to kiss them. I said rubbing them to my face." So I was pathetic. I take things overboard. Sue me.
He smirked at the weird side of me, and picked up a box full of games. "Youre so lame."
"Youre lame."
"Your moms lame."
I didnt have a comeback. I usually didnt. Were quite pathetic.
I laughed, and picked up a flat, nice, colorful game.
"Joe! We are so playing super smash brothers! I have to!"
He looked at me and smiled again. If I werent in such a great mood, and so preoccupied, I would have asked why he wasnt judging me like he always did when I would eat a sandwich and get it all over the place, or when I would get the large ice cream or when I would drop things all over the floor, which he did all the same things. I came to the conclusion that hes a hypocrite, but oddly enough; not tonight.
"Who do you want to play?"
"Oh!" His eyes lit up and he snatched it from me. "I used to love this game." He walked to the TV where he had hooked up the game system and looked at me. "Who do you want to be?" He tossed me a controller and settled down on the floor against the couch.
"Peach," I replied immediately, joining him. "I always used to be Peach."
"Marios the man, Dani."
"But Peach is pretty."
"You chose Peach because shes pretty?"
"well she is! Whyd you pick Mario?"
"He wears a hat."
We turned to look at each other. I burst out laughing and Joe grinned sheepishly--then the start of the game announced itself and we began playing.
Oh, and did we ever play. I dont know for how long, nor did I care, but it was at the end. I was now out of the game and it was up to Joe to beat the super hand. I was standing right next to him pumping my fist on the air, telling him to dodge the hand. Me might as well been sweat as he stoop on his tippy toes, trying to make the evil hand go away. He only had one life left and it was not about to be thrown away. This game is what made me be a better kid. Thats not going to end here. I pushed him on, when Mario jumps up, kicked the hand, and in slow motion it was all over. The hand fell to the floor, and I jumped up and down. Joes face had a full smile, and it couldnt have been a better moment. I wrapped my arms around him in a celebratory hug, but instead, he missed the hug and I could have sworn his lips went onto mine. Plain and simple: He kissed me
