Master Ron. Sill working San Shou, have about 4 months to go till I get thru it. Funny though, techique wise, there is nothing new to us FMA types. However, much more time spent in following, attaching and body mechanics. Learning to stop thinking and just move with the moment. (no mind) Isn't that what we learn in fast free flow sumbrada flow? hmm. still tons of fun for an "old man". Hopefully, I will be in California next summer. Would very much like to meet you, as I am a perpetual student
Chrisarena! Great. You are becoming a surfer of the universal energy wave. Many do not know that in the old days Escrimadors would pull back and search for the deepest knowledge. The Hermit spoken of by Dizon is congruent with people living in caves in different parts of the Phillipines.Hilot, Arbulario, anting, bulong, oraciones, etc., is a very important part of the FMA culture. I have been trying to put it back into my system...but people want to see me with a weapon in my Good Luck...Ron
Master Ron. Just taking a second to stop by and say hello. Been researching the Internal side of your art . It's giving me a far greater understanding of sensitivity and the ability to listen to an opponents energies.. The dropping energy of the split step and the braced block of Serrada are deeply internal and very similar. I look at the opponents stick as a wheel to roll around over or under and not to just crash into. Also learning the 2man San Shou Tai Chi fighting form to gain internal skil
2jax, open handed for basics, to get the feel of blowing off the power. In real lifethe stick is held solid...and as soon as the power is felt the roll is turned into a number one strike. I will do an advanced video for you soon, so you can see it. Ron
Very nice for you to share and glad to see the US flags in the background. God bless you.

Thanks for all of your videos. I really love the attitude. No trying to sell a system or whatever. A true martial artist.
