Watch Germany score the 1-0 in this 1975 repeat of the 1974 World Cup final (staged to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the D.F.B.).

Excellent pass by Beckenbauer (typically played with the outside of his right foot) straight into the run of Wolfgang Seel who accelerated magnificently to bring in a cross which Herbert 'Hacki' Wimmer headed into the Dutch goal. In the second half Holland equalized with a superb Wim van Hanegem freekick.

  • Strange to hear Gerald Sinstadt commentating on this. Wonder if this was shown on the ITV network in the UK at the time.

  • @davidgbarron I guess it was. There was some interest in the game as the World Cup final revenge game.

  • Wieso ist denn das WDR Logo in der Ecke und der Kommentar ist englisch?! Telekolleg?!

  • I was there, in the Frankfurter Waldstadium. Later on, Willem van Hanegem scored 1-1, witch was the final result. Johan Cruyff was not playing.

  • SURREAL.

  • everything about football was great in those days, better kits too

  • Kannst Du nicht das ganze Spiel hochladen???
