Minister of Environment launches GIS based Environment Portal of Gujarat

A GIS based environment portal on the environment information on Gujarat State (http://www.gec.gov.in) was launched by Mangubhai Patel, Honble Minister, Forest and Environment and Tribal development Govt. of Gujarat on 28th October 2009.

Present on the occassion were Kiritsinh Rana, Honble State Minister, Forest and Environment, Government of Gujarat, S K Nanda, IAS, Principal Secretary (Forest & Environment), E Balaguruswamy, IFS, Member Secretary, Gujarat Ecology Commission, C H Pandya, IFS, Director, Ecology Commission and Mandar Mehta, CEO, Data Point (www.dtpt.com) the designer of the web portal.
