Blade Runner - The Aquarelle Edition (Teaser)

This animation consists of 3285 handmade aquarelle paintings and form the very beginning of my paraphrase on the motion picture Blade Runner (1982) by Ridley Scott.
The sound is borrowed from the original movie.

How many FPS is the aquarelle being played back at? I calculated roughly every fifth frame was rendered? Approximately 11 minutes at 24 fps would be almost 16000 drawings!

This enhances the already mysterious dystopian mood of the original film. I respect the time and energy it must take for such a project. I wonder though. Wouldn't it be interesting (and faster) to attempt a project like this using the mechanics of something like the Johnny Cash project? That uses the impression of a global fan base accomplishing the Same, if not better results? Great work though.
