How much data does this use per hour? This is way cool, are you jail broken or paying extra for wifi?

Use this path: Storage device(SD card, thumbsrive)/PS3/UPDATE your ps3 should pick it up
-
If you set the path up right on your phone you might can use a usb cable to hook your phone up to the ps3 as a thumbdrive

Sorry not (sim card) SD card. I have the old 80gb ps3. But you can use a thumb drive. Just go to the PlayStation web site and download the update , it will be at the bottom of the page. I have not figured out how to download game updates yet via my phone. If it's a big game update (over 50mb) I take my ps3 to a friends house. There's nothing like getting 80 percent of the way through 100 mb update and get kicked off. 80 MB lost! They really need s download manager for updates

my Droid X is the only internet I can get at my house. I play mw3 about 5-10hr a week and hardly use a GB. Update are what use the most data. I down load them to my phone then put them on my ps3 with a sim card

@ParkerJamesThompson Have you're iPhone 4 and upgrade to 5.0.1. Then go to settings, turn off WiFi so you are on 3G, then go to personal hotspot which is just under the Airplane Mode function and turn it on and follow the instructions given to you by the phone.
-
Show me how to do that
@MrPupTent --- Can you do up a video, or just written instructions on how you put the updates onto a ps3 with a sim card?
