WOW!!!! That was magnificent!!! Bravo!!! Thanks for sharing. :-)

Beautiful and exotic stuff! The picture shows the Fisher Theatre, Detroit's French/Mayan console - did any builder attempt at Egyptian-styled console? I'm almost certain Wurlitzer didn't (they did this Mayan plus French, Chinese, Roman, Grecian, Streamline, Art Moderne, but no Egyptian) but it'd match this atmospheric music so well.

Of all the pipe organ music I've heard and or owned, this has got to be one of my all time favorite pieces. Walt's translation of Tiomkin's wonderful theme is nothing short of astounding. This is a great recording although the version I own is recorded on the Rialto Square Theaters' then 4/24 Barton.

A fabulous movie palace - an afternoon matinee - and endless box of popcorn and Rudolph Valentino rides across the screen as the Sheik - gorgrous

This was recorded on the Gilson 4/27 Wurlitzer

The music was written by Dimitri Tiomken. I have copies if you care to contact me. The music is just the basic melody. The music you hear on this recording is much embellished from the plain sheet music. Tiomken wrote many movie themes.

The pipe organ is the king of all instruments. And, Walt , simply put - is the Prince of all theater organs.
