Against my better judgement.
Form was crappy, and I didn't lock out for fear of falling forward and smashing myself. I HATE doing them so close to the ground... for obvious reasons.
Chris suggested I upload though, since they are free and like 90% ROM. Shrug. This was all I had tonight.. probably could get 6-7 if I was fresh.
Hey Steve, how did you go about developing your ROM in your HSPU? Currenlty I can do sets of 3 freestanding headstand pushups but am having trouble developing the full ROM. Thanks

@ooden full ROM one way you can do it if you have paralettes is against the wall and then stack up books underneath your head to slowly lower the depth. Additionally, slow eccentrics are pretty useful for this type of work as well.

Whats the progression to that.
Learn handstand against the wall.
then hspu against the wall
then free handstands
then free hspu
then ring hand stand
THEN ring hspu.

More or less. I would progress to freebalancing handstands first before you learn the HSPU.
Once you have a strong freestanding (>1 min solid holds), it's pretty easy to develop the strength for the HSPU.
