Awesome illusion! I believe the guy is doing a leg cross lift (Google: Yoga pose leg cross lift ID: 21568851). 0:36 the foot is raised by a wire - watch the lights in the background shimmer. The legs have some lightweight hollow structure to hold them up, but allow mobility later - perhaps just cardboard. His upper body has a similar shell to hide his knees (1:14+ his chest doesn't bounce). No little people are needed for this illusion, and the I think full-sized arms debunk that theory.

That is only a one man trick. The guy is possibly very flexible and has a space in the "torso" to fit legs in. At the beginning you can see when he shakes the chainsaw it sorta jiggles so you can immediately tell it is not a real chainsaw. When he lifts up the body he is grabbing a wire that is connected to a leg. He makes the leg "float" then he reaches to grab the body and the legs to "staple" them. When he starts stapling the man in the torso puts his legs from the torso back into the legs.
