  • What made guys like Otis, Sam Cook, James Brown, Jackie Wilson etc... is they were just pure raw and felt the music. They were not music industry created crap they try to force feed us now like Chris Brown etc... I know old folks from Memphis that use to run into Otis on the streets of Memphis. He was very accesseble to people. Stax Records was about the community. Try to meet an executive today from Sony records. Those days are long gone.
