Although tucked away in some vault for the past 30 years, this song and the others on the cd are like expensive wines - they get better with aging. God I love these songs...

This gives me chills every time I hear it. It's just such a huge, Spectorian full-swell ballade, maraca triplets and all (although Phil would have foregrounded the glockenspiel), but with lush Four Seasons harmonies (and a quotation from "Rag Doll") - to us Boomers who two-stepped to the 1960s, this is simply too resonant. And to think that it had been sleeping in some Columbia vault for 30-plus years. Jesus...
