UCLA's Adaptive Recreation Program provides bruins with disabilities the opportunity to participate in recreational activities including cycling, kayaking and basketball.
Nationally recognized for its disability-friendly campus, its recent creation of a disability studies minor and its Extension program for students with cognitive disabilities, UCLA continues to break new ground by increasing awareness and making the entire UCLA experience accessible to those with disabilities.
The university's new adaptive recreation programs are designed for Bruins with disabilities — from wheelchair users to those with sight, speech and hearing impediments — but are offered to anyone who would like to participate and use adaptive equipment.
