Here we have a property where the landlord had updated the fuse box. The new components are far more sensitive to damp than the previous... Therefore, after using a damp meter all around the house, any mild damp must be dealt with. In the room shown we identified a damp area. So we chiselled out the plaster and raked out the joints between the Victorian bricks. We allowed the area to dry out, before sealing the area with unibond, and floating a sand & cement mix over. It is then a case of plastering the wall! - Thanks Geoff!!!
