The beating of my heart , Reached No. 2 on Australian charts in 1964 ,but as far as I know ,was only a hit in Australia . I would be interested to know if it charted anywhere else?
Video - on a Jetboat on the Shotover river New Zealand.
"Heinz, singer and actor, was born on July 24, 1942. He died on April 7, 2000 ,aged 57
His first single Just Like Eddie (featuring a guitar-break from Ritchie Blackmore, later of Deep Purple) made No 5, and was followed by modestly successful hits. An LP in honour of his lifelong idol Eddie Cochran, Tribute to Eddie, did extremely well. On television he made some notable appearances on Six-Five Special and Ready, Steady, Go! But he never reached the starriest heights." (The Times)
