At the beginning of these videos, 'Ni Rei' i.e. kneeling bow is performed, as seen in Judo. Is this usual in BJJ too? I have been to a number of BJJ clubs and never seen any sort of bowing.

how long would it take to get a blue belt if you train 7 days a week
-
@genjibob Only issue with buying DVDs are you dont actually have someone physically teaching you, they would be a good asset to have at home, but i'd say join a Gym for training AT LEAST once a week. Twice if you're hoping to get stripes/belts soon

@bioBjjwolf how is your bjj coming along

Where can i find a dojo that teaches this style in southern california

I have almost ALL of roy deans DVDs, Im a 10th planet practitioner and originally a gracie baja and tiningua spider guard student. These dvds that roy dean has published are better than any training that you can pay for. He covers the basics with an incredible teaching direction and helps you develop understanding of the jiu jitsu world. You can buy the dvds online and they are WORTH the money

im startin jiu-jitsu in a couple of weeks and this video just makes me want to do it even more
I like how you test both sides...some schools don't require that.
