2010/ Keep my head up, make it to the top.

So 2010, wow what a year. It's safe to say it hasn't completely gone our way, Chev and I have had multiple falls, smashing our confidence on more than one occasion. But with that we've also had some pretty amazing times. Love this horse with my life, and I'm so glad, even through the good and bad, I've been priviliged enough to have spent 2010 with him. Heres to an amazing 2011, through the falls/hard times that lay ahead of us, lets hope the good times shine through.

You two make a great team! How did you get him to have such a nice head set? Was he an off the track standardbred? My first stb was an amish horse for 10 years before i owned him and a couple years on the tack before that and held his head in the sky and it was really hard to get his head set because for the first 18 years of his life it was in the sky.The stb I'm riding now is much younger ad freshly off the track.From my experience they are a little bit more resistant to a relaxed head set

@Barrelracing318 aw thankyou! Well it has taken alot of work, but to be honest he has always been quite a natural, softer than alot of standardbreds I've come across. Most of them tend to hold their head in the sky due to racing with head checks, a piece of equipment that forces their heads high. After racing with them for while, you can say it becomes a habit, hence making it hard to get them out of such habits. Chev never raced with one, so that has helped a lot. It does take time, good luck!

@randomgirl179 aw thankyou, I think we've both improved alot, just need to get our confidence back, and we'll be back in the game in no time, hopefully better than ever (: The crash at the beginning, that was about all that you could see, because my dad crapped himself, and the rest of the video was of the roof ahah. But weirdly I wasn't hurt at all, Chev put that much strain on his neck, pretty close to doing serious damage, as to not roll on me, hes a very lucky boy. Thankyou very much again

Aww you and Chevy seem to have come so far! And yeah, the fall in the beginning must have been hard for the both of you to get over. You two seem like you're pretty much made for each other. =]

@ChevyBeau Yea my first one had his head in the sky for 18 years and it took forever to get him to relax his head just a little bit haha. The one I'm riding right now is not nearly as bad
