red dot II goes to Paso - first drive

This is the first drive of the Hot Rod Red Dot II at Paso Robles 2007. The car had some glitches that were solved with a simple bump start. We were so stoked to see it run that we just drove it around in circles with no lights or rear brakes. A small crowd gathered and fortunately someone was holding the camera!

The roadster was a pile of parts I had collected for years, and the official build started in January of 2007. Although my grandfather (PAPA) died during the build-up, it was still finished ahead of time. Special thanks to my brother Trevor Perich and friend Luke Brown for pitching in during the build.
