A unique insight into a champion's adrenaline and drive as he trains for the Olympics. Maclean's heroic cycling is set against the story of Odysseus, creating a heart-stoppingly rich portrayal of man.
'Man, a being in search of meaning.' Craig Maclean powers his bike at over 40mph, over a distance of 250m from a standing start. 'Know yourself Odysseus - for a man to conquer himself is the first and noblest of all victories'. Taking you right into the blood, sweat and tears of the sportsman: remember to exhale after watching.

What a beautiful and inspiring film. It's great to see cycling viewed in such a sensitive, poetic way. It feels like it's made by people who love the sport and Craig Maclean is an awesome talent. Contemporary sportspeople deservedly get a lot of bad press, but with him, it's totally misdirected- as any cycling fan will attest. I'd watch this over the usual moronic treatment of sports any day of the week. More of the same please!

So great, and yet the narrator didn't scream "EXTREME" once...

    Great athlete, but pretentious commentary.

Great film. 10 minutes last like one moment. Very motivating! Touches me direct in my cyclist's soul.
