Officials from Barbados are coming to my Burnaby and I hope that our civic officials will raise the issue of gay rights in Barbados where people convicted of "buggery" face a maximum sentence of life in prison.

  • To the person that made this video you clearly don't know what you are talking about. I lived in Barbados for 14 years and I have seen PLENTY of gays in our communities who were never abused because of their orientation. Most people don't know or care about the so called gay laws. You need to really remove this misleading lying video and stop the spreading of lies about Barbados. When did you visit Barbados and witness first hand homophobia?

  • @Tammyboo333 You're right - I've never been to Barbados - I only know what I've read and what I've read about homophobia in Barbadian society might be wrong. I'll admit that. I hear conflicted accounts - some people, like yourself, say it's very tolerant of LGBT people and others say it's something best kept in the closet. I always find it interesting to hear about the experiences of LGBT people in other parts of the world.

  • @NathanielChristopher While my comment that "I understand Barbados to be a homophobic society" may be up for debate, one thing that is certain is that sodomy remains a criminal offence in Barbados. I don't expect that every country in the world will embrace gay rights but I do believe it's imperative for all world nations to do away with laws which criminalise sex between consenting adults.

  • children are humans just like fucking gays. so dnt bring hat human right shit to us.fucking faggot. if u dnt like barbados, i hope u have a gay and merry time in jamaica.anything living on this earth including yourself has come from the binding of male and female. if not, its done asexually. and asexual, u are not. but if u are, go fuck yourself.uuu can stay away from barbados. we dnt need your vibes of faggotry anyways...bulla!

  • @nnas0501 You sure are filled with a lot of anger and hatred. I feel sorry for you.

  • @NathanielChristopher but came on business. so dnt make business matters personal. and criticize bim for not instilling laws that deal with one's personal preference.im sure none of the barbadians who visited canada or none who currently live there lash out against you or any of your people for swallowing semen. so watch your words when expressing your personal views about my people. white people come to barbados in vast numbers daily, we dnt accuse any of them of being racist. kno ur place fag!

  • @nnas0501 If you're trying to defend your country or your viewpoint I'm afraid you've failed miserably. But if you are trying to support my point that Barbados is a homophobic society that is hostile to gay and lesbian people, then keep posting your comments here.

  • @NathanielChristopher first of all you're SO CUTE! AND YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!! I'M FROM THE CARIBBEAN UNFORTUNATELY! I KNOW!!! AND I'M TELLING YOU RIGHT NOW YOU ARE RIGHT!

  • @Tammyboo333 oh please he knows Jolly well what he's talking about! The caribbean has NO tolerance for gay people! this comment made by "nnas0501" speaks volumes!

  • @NathanielChristopher Ok. If Barbados was so homophobic the other Caribbean countries would not call it the gay capital of the Caribbean. Yes we don't condone homosexuality but at the same time we don't kill them either. I understand you are standing up for what you believe is wrong but I just wanted to let you know my opinion living in Bim.

  • @sexyvenus85 how are you too tolerant

  • @nnas0501 and fuck you too!

  • Ok ok...I am a young Barbadian and I watched your video. The people of Barbados are slightly homophobic because we are a christian nation but gays are not threatened and killed or beaten in Barbados. In an earlier comment made the gays can walk down the street without fear of being attacked, yes of course people will stare and people will talk about them, but no threats.
