OUCH...well, that just sucks.
That garage is really crispy but I am glad that parts of the house were relatively untouched! :)
Good luck to you!

@alderaforall no, we had to demolish it. Insurance wanted to "duct tape" it but was way more than the policy.

@tbearclub1 yeah, that summer was rough. I could honestly say it was strange time, you never really recover either. Time passes but I wish a house fire on NO ONE!
when the house burnt down did you still have electricity in the house?

@bandbgamesroom the electricity was disconnected later that day.

you had to demolish the house? Other than soot on the walls, it doesnt look that bad upstairs. Right now there's fire trucks outside of my house, a vacant 2 story apartment building across the street was on fire this morning, and the house right next to it caught on fire 2 months ago too. My house is very old, with old wiring so its just a matter of time before it's my turn to go through this. Luckily there's 2 fire stations within a 1/4 mile from my house.

@TheWaynelds well after the insurance company did the math, it was considered a total loss. When the fire department did arrive, it was only moments from getting upstairs where a majority of our stuff was. Still we had 30 years of odds & ends downstairs which is where the total loss comes in. Yes, we had the to demolish the house, in fact we had some jerk in the neighborhood that was starting to complain it was an eye sore.
