Easiest run yet? Quite possibly.

The King of Tragedy equipment set is yet another set found exclusively in the Labyrinth. You can find it in two places: either at the end of the Cloister of Rivals 3 (floor 74), or as random treasure scattered throughout the Cloister of Demise. It's free in the Cloister of Rivals 3, but you only get 2 per run. It costs 100 medals in the Cloister of Demise. Do note that you can get other labyrinth equipment set pieces as well in these areas, so you're not guarenteed to get the King of Tragedy set each time. But unlike the Final Strike set, every pieces of the King of Tragedy set has great stats (equal to Lufenian gear). What's not to love about it?

As you'd expect, the King of Tragedy set grants an enormous boost to your EX Revenge effectiveness. In fact, I was originally planning to use other accessories to further boost damage and EX Revenge duration, but found that the King of Tragedy set alone was oftentimes enough to get me to 9999 brave, so I didn't bother and instead focused on EX gain and wall rush. With just the King of Tragedy set, Garland can land a total of 7 Bardiche's and still end with Flare for wall rush HP damage. With each Bardiche doing over 1000 damage to Feral Chaos, that can add up really quickly.

For those who are wondering, I got Garland's EX gauge full for the start of the battle by using the Potion on the 4th floor of the Edge of Discord.

Of note is that your opponent can prematurely end your EX Revenge by simply using an assist change. That's why I needed a Battle Hammer to cut down on Feral Chaos's assist. However, in my experience I noticed that Feral Chaos only uses his assist change when you use your HP attack, so if you see him with an assist ready, you'll want to end with Garland's Cyclone instead of Flare. You'll lose the wall rush damage, but still catch him even after the assist change.

EXP to EX will get you most of your EX gauge after a strong EX Revenge hit (with wall rush) thanks to just how much EXP 000 Feral Chaos gives. To get you up the rest of the way, you'll want to use Twist Drill and Round Edge (long). Both produce very high amounts of EX force and can lead into chase for even more EX goodness. When in chase, always prioritize avoiding Feral Chaos's HP attack, because getting hit by that (even for 0 damage) will completely drain your EX and assist.

Lastly, don't you wish Garland's quote for Bardiche was "I'll knock you down!" instead of "I'll crush you!"? I know I do. "I'll knock-I'll knock-I'll knock-I'll knock-I'll knock-I'll knock-I'll knock-Unleash the fury!"
