Marie-Elise MacIsaac, 91, of Scituate will fulfill a longtime dream and go for a ride on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at St. Frances X. Cabrini Church, where she is a vigiler.
MacIsaac was gravely ill more than a year ago when she came out with one last wish that astonished her family.
"I want to go for a ride on a Harley- Davidson motorcycle," she said.
On Sunday, she'll get her wish and cruise around the parking lot of St. Frances X. Cabrini Church on the back of a Harley. About 25 members of local motorcycle clubs will be there, along with more than 50 family, friends and even her cardiologist. "I think it must be very exciting and I am really looking forward to it," she says. "It's a oncell-llinll-llall-lllifetime thingll,ll my dream come true." She has bravely fought her way back from bone marrow cancer and other serious illnesses to take this ride of a lifetime. St. Frances X. Cabrini has been in the news for the past four years because a vigil parishioners are conducting to prevent its closing by the Boston Aarchdiocese. Marie-Elise MacIsaac wasis, one of the church's original fundraisers 25 years ago., is the oldest of the vigilers.
I wonder if her daughter knows what blood clots and strokes and stuff come from?
