  • hey can i use 2 of this in my set up?? do they inter conect lats say 2 scs 1d and one scs 1m??? thanks

  • @Kaonabo1

Yes you can use two SCS.1d's in your setup along side of a SCS.1m. I'd start off with just one SCS.1d first and see how you like it, then add another if you like. I have one SCS.1d and SCS.1m and am happy with that setup. Will post some new video's soon of the SCS.1 setup in action.

  • can you connect it through usb? I have a macbook and there are no firewire ports and I am seriously considering getting this.

  • @bob98123

Sorry both the SCS.1d and the SCS.1m are Firewire devices.

  • If i just doing usual cuing songs for my set and no scratch, the not-fully-supported platter movement should still work it out? Since I saw another video shows things like touching the edge of the platter wont affect the platter. I dont do turntablism but want to upgrad from VCI-300 to this unit.

  • If you are doing mixing you will be fine with the SCS.1d, you also can do nudges with the platter.

  • Thanks man that's a big help!

  • Yep, I know that the same problem occurs on Pioneer CDJ-900 & 2000 while using them in HID-mode, so this isn't exclusive to Stanton's controllers (but instead is Traktor's problem). The only reason I catched it, though, is that I was looking out for it (as said; I'm eagerly waiting to get my own unit to do some serious testing with it:)

  • Good eye, you would be correct about the sticker drift. This is an issue with the software and how it interprets scratching messages. Right now in Traktor they're de-coupled. What we want is a direct 1:1 relationship with the platter movement and playback. Hopefully in the future, Traktor will support spinning platters.

  • I'm waiting for my own unit to arrive (still... my dealer is having some trouble), so I haven't had the chance to try this out yet.

That looks like quite a serious sticker drift during scratching, am I correct? Otherwise scratching appears to be quite responsive, though.
