Jagjit Singh was introduced to me by a close acquainatnce, almost a friend, when I was a student of Ph D at PU Chandigarh. Then I met Jagjit at Ludhiana and spent a night at his father's residence in Partap Nagar Ludhiana; he impressed me like anything as a man; earlier I knew that he was agreat singer. I have not met him since 1983 but his memories are ever fresh in my mind.

@Ehte68 This Nazm has descended from the kalam of Kafeel Azer and Jagjit Singh gave music and lend his voice to it in 1976 for his first LP album recorded for HMV.. Regards, Suhanee!
