torana will always be a better car. i know i got one. currently building bathurst spec 308. vls are nice to without the nissan motor. healthy 308 or stroker!!

hey guys im only 12 and look for my first car to be a project and im wondering what to get vl or torana ??? i know vl got alot of power but i wonna find out more about the torana's

You can actually see the vl beat the torana when the torana had a head start. I don't think the vl was even trying to wind up boost when the torrie took of in the last little bit. It looks like a clear victory to the vl, and a better car.

The VL is alot faster than this Torana, I should Know I use to own the VL. The only run the the VL was even trying it blew the Torry away.

its a mate of mines it's a Genuine SLR 5000 car and it does flat 11 sec over the quarter mile.

I owned an LH SLR/5000 L31....It was quick real quick ( -12 sec) L34/A9X kit 120L drop tank- back then it used to cost 116.00 bucks to fill up on Super- hate to think what'd it cost now... But i saw the light and realised the best bits were the 9" diff and single rail gear box.. Now its fords all the way :)

The only run that both cars went on the VL killed it. As mentioned before, its gone 10.50. The torana had drag radials on and was getting great launches.

wow that slr looked good. that drop tank would just about blind you at night :).

It was annoying! The car was immaculate. Pretty quick for a manual. The car we were in runs mid 10s... gives you an idea of how quick the torana was.
