Bamboozled is a 2000 satirical film written and directed by Spike Lee about a modern televised minstrel show featuring black actors donning blackface makeup and the violent fall-out from the show's success. The film was given a limited release by New Line Cinema during the fall of 2000, and was released on DVD the following year. • "To be or not to be? THAT IS THE MOTHER FUCKING QUESTION" Lls

  • @ladedade23 that is the beauty of this film... it lets no one off the hook. Everyone is selfish in trying to get ahead in a rigged game. Some are characters actions are worse than others, but none are perfect. No good guys, bad guys here....

  • great job spike lee

  • Yea but Dave thought he was putting down our black stereotypes but he was in fact increasing them . This movie is a good example it's why I love it . Just wish Spike didnt let up on making these types of movies

  • my english teacher had us watch this movie so we can write an essay comparing this to Nathan McCall's "Makes Me Wanna Holler". I'm glad it's on youtube so the movie can be fresh in my head :D

  • So what should we do

    DUMBASS QUESTION

that boss is blacker than me

  • The world was not ready for this movie and still is not. What is really sad is the fact that all of this is coming to light EVERY Stereotype that was used in the past is alive and well and being used by us. The white man does not have to put on black face we dance a happy jigg all on our own. Black face, mammy, sambo, magic negro, mandingo negro, welfare queen, sapphire, jezebel. Look at your black reality tv stars, paper weight rap artist, and some of these popular mainstream black movies.

  • @robbiec82 Me too! Thankyou so very much!

I didn't quite get Chappelle on that one. Is this what he THOUGHT white people were saying, or did whites actually say, "Yeah, that's how blacks act?" I've heard conflicting stories. I think Chappelle could've continued...maybe just without the racial pixies.
