The Union Pacific owned the Colony Line in Western South Dakota for just one year after the acquisition of the C&NW. And now you have the chance to see the Union Pacific Railroad operating the Colony Line before it was sold to the Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern Railroad. This journey will take you along the slopes of the Black Hills from Colony, Wyoming, to Oelrichs, South Dakota. Both UP and C&NW power pull trains throughout the video, along with an appearance from the DM&E.

  • It's nice seeing SD40-2's and not AC4400's or C44-9's.

  • I agree! That is what makes this line unique.
