Jesse Cowell World Oyama Karate new highlights video

These are highlights from my days as a lightweight Karate "Knockdown" fighter. When I started karate at the age of 15 after seeing the "karate Kid" one to many times, I just wanted to be good at something/anything in my life. What I got were many years of friendship, ability to focus, and lessons about life. Always been a bit shy about showing this side of myself as I wanted to be known for my creative work first, but as I think about it, I know now that the two are forever linked in the ways I have gone about them. As my teacher once said, not just champion for karate, champion for life. Thank you to everyone who made all these years so special. Well I became police officer and Defensive Tactics instructor. Oyama karate is still help my career and life. I bet your experience and training helping your life too.

@sapporo01 AH Sorry Hide I missed this message. As for karate - I can do some of it but computers and movies have replaced kicks and punches as of late! Yes karate has been amazing especially in terms of focus. You fought well back then and should be congratulated. Good luck with capturing those crooks and hope you are great.

I received my black belt from Saiko Shihan Y. Oyama (Soshu's brother) 3 years ago. This December will be my third knock down tournament. I am 16 years old and I'm very proud to be involved in what I'm in, and I plan to do this for a very long time and compete for a very long time.
