At the invitation of Point de Bascule and the Free Thinking Film Society, Dr. Bruce Bawer will be speaking at major venues in Montreal, Quebec and Ottawa

Bawer is a renowned essayist and author bestselling books (Stealing Jesus, While Europe Slept and Surrender) Based in Norway, he is known internationally for his straightforward criticism of multiculturalism and his deeply informed warnings about the threat of Islamic radicalism to Western security, culture and identity. A gay activist who became disillusioned by what he saw as the increasing influence of America's religious right, Dr Bawer left his US homeland in 1998, only to be shocked by alarming trends he discovered on arriving in once-tolerant Europe. He witnessed the Old World's post-Enlightenment traditions of tolerance and openness under siege: Islamic fundamentalism was on the march, and time-honoured rights were failing along with the cultural confidence and self-respect of Europe's indigenous populations.

Islam wouldn't be what it is without its helpers, mainly from the liberal side but also from conservatives like Bush who was a friend of the Saudis. The Saudis are as much behind Jihad as Iran.

You can't battle an enemy before you fix the immune system which is the law books, the law enforcement and the courts.

If the Swedes, French and more countries lose sovereignty over Muslim neighborhoods, it's just a matter of time until they lose it over whole cities.

i think blaming liberalism is a error. To me, the truth is that western europe suffered from a stalinist infiltration posing as marxist liberal post WW2. Idealistically niave students infected and indoctrinated at university by KGB sponsored dons took up work within our intitutions and gradually gain positions of influence. it is these people who ushered in the suicidal age of multicultralism. We need to retake the word liberalism because in no way does it describe these useful idiots.

5:30 It's disgusting that judges actually believe Islamic honour killings should be treated less seriously than other murders since honour killings are not a crime in one's original country. How arrogant for these people to assume they should not have to follow the laws every one else has to follow (no other minority has a problem with it, e.g. British Hindus are a real success story, probably because Hinduism does not have an entire legal system which demands segregation and special treatment).

@FrankinHolland True, but at least Christianity has changed with the times and is now an overly peaceful religion (if redundant) - the other two faiths are just as bloody as they were centuries ago (and just as redundant). Any personal belief in God or a creator is fine IMHO - spirituality and scientific reason need not be mutually exclusive; it is organised religion that causes so many problems, particularily Judaism and Islam which act more like political ideologies than belief systems.

@grebrim Its not that they openly condone it, rather they fear to criticise it - that is the point.. Halal, Shariah, honour killings, ethnic cleansing/self imposed segregation etc. etc. all are met with a deafening silence.
