Stephen J. Cannell was responsible for "THE PALACE GUARD"- it lasted just 6 episodes. As for the syndicated "ARSENIO HALL SHOW"- it ended in 1994 (he ratings simply collapsed). And the ill-advised daily syndicated edition of "CANDID CAMERA" with Dom DeLuise as host ["I never should have let King World talk me into licensing it to them", mused Allen Funt]

Man, this really brings back memories..."Brooklyn Bridge" was one of those shows, my whole family enjoyed, especially me and my mom. Good times!

Pat O'Brien USED to be a good sportscaster- but by the time he became Lara Spencer's co-host on "THE INSIDER" {ugh!!}, he really hit rockbottom. Hosting that show (and "ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT") causes people to turn into automatons...or vapid, grinning idiots with NOTHING inside of them. No wonder he went on those benders ...he should have quit while he was ahead. CBS' 1991-'92 schedule was a basket case itself; they didn't really want "BROOKLYN BRIDGE"...

why do i think the Palace Guard is sort of a ripoff of "Moonlighting" just a thought and promos for the underrated "Brooklyn Bridge"
