The way I see it sesshomaru has always kind of cared for rin you can tell by the looks he will give her ever once in a while.

Rumiko Takahashi even said that Sess cares more about Rin than Kagura. Kagura's death pissed him off, Rin's 2'nd death in hell DESTROYED HIM. He freakin CRIED for god's sake. He was willing to let Kagura go, but not Rin... He was only able to master Tenseiga because of his love for Rin.

@MissMiano InuYasha the manga continues long after the anime finished, although now they finished it up with 'InuYasha, the final act'. In the Hell Arc, Rin dies again and Sess is DESTROYED. His mother saves Rin and tells him that if he wants to save his beloved's life (Rin's) that he must also feel sadness and fear at the same time. She also says that he has 'inherited that strange trait of his father's' because of 'all this fuss over one human girl'.

@crazywarrior01 well i thinks its a good thing that she was so young when they met cuz sesshomaru is a demon && he'll pretty much stay forever young, and it gives rin && sessy's relationship together more meaning & makes it more romantic for them when she gets older so i like the idea dnt you think ?
