they are alot more easier on the recruits nowadays. We were screamed at constantly and I remember having to laugh at a tree for 15 minutes and do 50 pushups...yelling was the norm..

nice! i like when idiots bash other members of different service branches!! I went down range twice as a 68W (medic) i've seen marines, army, and a few Navy corpmen die within my view..I have the utmost respect for anyone wearing the U.S. color's...and damn proud to serve with any of them..next time any of you want to bash other soldiers just remember he might be the one saving your ass in the heat of battle!

From what I've heard, Ft Benning infantry is the only boot camp in the army that's actually tough anymore.
And reception or not, I remember reception at MCRDSD in 2005 and there was no "talking." You were getting screamed at. And if you weren't screaming back, you were f&cked.
