One person in this video says (of the gatherings), "Basically, we're just being honest." That was one of the most empowering, inviting, inspiring things I've heard in a church related context. What a welcome breath of fresh air this movement seems to be!

Basically, orthoddox christianity is repugnant to emergents so their making their own version. I believe God calls that idolotry.

Fear of rejection? You want to avoid rejection? Then you had better avoid Christianity. OH that's right, you're emergent, so in essence you are doing just that.

@bsiemon82 visit any cohort in the country, and you'll find plenty of discussion about the Bible, what we read in Scripture, and how it applies to our lives.
